Despite what A&M says, many students here are usually guys who didnt get into UT, and thus take in the fish camp brainwashing that is required. I believe this, and its sad. Its even harsher of how they talk about Tech, but boy are they wrong; so so so wrong. If they only knew how this place really is they would freak and be scared that one day Tech is going to pass them up because they have everything a university should have.

I was in the top 5% of my class, so I automatically got in. My suggestion if you really want to go, is focus on the essay portion of all your scholarships and your applications. Make them unique. No one wants to hear about how you lead you student council or had a hard time making it in your state choir. That's the same boring crap everyone comes here with.
